In Which Sarah Goes to Paris

8.3.06

what I have learned this week:

Prague, though mostly a silly fantasy land, is also wonderful and magical. And obscenely inexpensive. And carnivorous - on that note. I can now prepare a mighty fine beef bourginon at the drop of a hat. Thanks to the charming Ms. Bark and her extremely informative french cuisine course.
The murderer in "Perry Mason Solves the Case of the Sleepwalker's Niece" is not who you would expect. (next on the queue: Henry Miller's "Tropic of Cancer". When in Paris...)
Kait will arrive three hours before Julia on Friday morning (!).
It is only a two hour flight from Paris to Berlin.
Happy hour is from 5-8 at Indiana, the Tex Mex chain of Paris. And in mere hours I will know just how Tex Mex Indiana actually is.
Pizza arrived in the United States for the first time in the 1950s.

Smart Smart Smart.

Hey Sarah,
I found your blog because I do a Henry Miller blog and occassionally do a Google Blgo search to check for Miller references. You mention that you're about to read Tropic Of Cancer. I would love it if I could post on my blog any impressions you have relating to reading Miller and being in Paris. If you're up for it. May I suggest you check out a new Miller website called millerwalks.com -- everything you need to trace Henry's steps in Paris (well, its a new site and only features Montparnasse at the moment.
Anyway, I like getting out-of-left-field emails, so I hope you don't mind either.
